Abstract

There are still deficiencies in the services offered by the development of digital platform technology in tourism travel activities. One of them is the existence of obstacles and obstacles in seeking tour guide services, both in terms of the availability of the number of guides, access to tourist sites and the rates for these services. This research was conducted with the aim of answering public concerns in seeking tour guide services through digital platforms, especially those based on websites. This study uses a database collection method for tour guides who already have a license and join the HPI organization (Indonesian Tour Guide Association). A website-based information system regarding a tourist destination is then integrated with a database on the availability of guide services and applicable rates according to government regulations. So that the output obtained is in the form of a prototype of a digital web service platform for reservation of tour guide services at tourism destinations, with case studies in Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. In web design using the UCD (User Centered Design) method with the aim of facilitating the user so as to provide a good web experience. On the web, location-based service technology (LBS) is implemented which aims to provide recommendations on the tour guide reservation feature according to the location of the intended tourist destination, as well as ease of access based on the detection of the user's position by a mobile device
